In the past few years, radical animal rights organizations have embarked on a campaign to impose regulations and legislation that threaten the future of purebred dogs. Initiatives such as mandatory spay/neuter legislation, breeding bans/regulations, regulations limiting the rights of hobby breeders, fees for the keeping of intact animals, and breed specific legislation seek to ultimately ban pet ownership. The organizations listed below have an interest in effective fair and effective legislation and promote responsible dog ownership. We encourage all who care about purebred dogs to become involved in the legislative process and to fight against restrictive laws that effect dog ownership.
